Bit Sketchi Bendigo
... learn to create quick, quirky sketches of Bendigo

Welcome to Bit Sketchi Bendigo, where you can join me, Kim Lowe, local artist to let your creativity flow as we create quick, quirky and colourful sketches of local Bendigo buildings and iconic landmarks.
These events are for FREE, for any skill level, and it’s certainly not a serious class! Don’t worry if you haven’t sketched before, this could be the perfect opportunity to try! This is about learning how to sketch quickly with character and applying a wash of colour to bring your sketch to life. Serious sketchers are, of course, also very welcome!
There are five Bit Sketchi events that will occur from October 2025 to April 2026. For the first event, we will be sketching the conservatory nestled amongst the tulips in bloom. Other events will capture Dia Gum San, the Chinese precinct with the striking lotus flower sculpture and historic buildings in View Street.
You will be provided with all necessary materials and I will demonstrate a large scale sketch of what you will draw on a smaller scale yourself.
All you need to bring is:
-
A fold up chair, or rug
-
Hat and sunscreen
-
A drink & snacks!
As a special bonus, you will also have an opportunity to exhibit your sketch in an exhibition to be held in April/May 2026.

Supported by the City of Greater Bendigo.
Additional events will be added very soon. Let's get a Bit Sketchi!
