Welcome to Bit Sketchi Bendigo, where you can join me, Kim Lowe, local artist to let your creativity flow as we create quick, quirky and colourful sketches of local Bendigo buildings and iconic landmarks.

These events are for FREE, for any skill level, and it’s certainly not a serious class! Don’t worry if you haven’t sketched before, this could be the perfect opportunity to try! This is about learning how to sketch quickly with character and applying a wash of colour to bring your sketch to life. Serious sketchers are, of course, also very welcome!

Four of five Bit Sketchi events have been held already with one more still to come in April 2026 in the Hargreaves Mall, where we will sketch Dai Gum Loong!  Another two events have been added to complement View Street Amplified, with events taking place in March and May 2026.

 

You will be provided with all necessary materials and I will demonstrate a large scale sketch of what you will draw on a smaller scale yourself.

 

All you need to bring is:

• A fold up chair, or rug

• Hat and sunscreen

• A drink & snacks!

As a special bonus, you will also have an opportunity to exhibit your sketch in an exhibition to be held in April/May 2026.
